Our seasonairres are slowly starting to leave us as the winter comes to an end. Graham Hewitt has left a review of his time with us at Chalet Nantegue, cheers Graham!
I arrived at Chalet Le Nantegue late on the evening of 17th December, after being collected from Geneva airport as arranged. On entering the Chalet I was immediately made to feel at home by the staff and by the other guests.
My room is on the top floor and it is quiet, clean and warm and there is always plenty of hot water in the en-suite shower room. This is a big plus because I have stayed in many places where you are tempted to cut your day short in order to get back in time for a hot shower.
I have a small balcony with a view of the mountains and a place where I can keep drinks and the items for my packed lunch fresh and cold. The location of the chalet is very good with a bus stop right outside the door and only a five minute stroll to the supermarket or ten minutes to the centre of town. The meals provided are excellent, varied and nutritional with large portions to restore the calories after a day on the slopes. It is more like a home from home than a hotel, with everyone relaxed and friendly and willing to help you out if and when you need it. There is a TV room come library, a computer console with a variety of games, a bar, a washing machine, a heated boot and ski room and the facilities to make tea or coffee any time of the day or night.
This is real value for money and a comfortable experience. Many guests return here, some more than once, that surely speaks for itself. If you want a five star experience with a chocolate on the pillow, flowers in a vase, your bed turned down for you on an evening, dressing up for dinner, then pay the inflated price and enjoy your stay in a five star hotel. For me this will do nicely – thank you Chalet Le Nantegue.
