The Daddy of Morzine Biking Chalets

The main activity being mountain biking. The ski lifts are used in summer to ferry bikers (and walkers) quickly up into the mountains and there are hundreds of routes available for your enjoyment, from hair-raising downhill routes to gentle cross country routes taking in the beautiful scenery.

There are swimming pools and mountain lakes to cool off in or you can try your hand at white water rafting and canyoning.

For adrenaline junkies there is the fantasticable - a zip wire that crosses the Chatel valley for over 1 km and is 250m up in the air and there is paragliding from the peaks above Morzine.

Morzine town has tennis courts, a skate park and an indoor ice rink as well as a host of shops, cafes and restaurants.

There are a number of special biking events during the summer too. Each summer Chatel bike park hosts the Chatel slopestyle event with world famous freeriders coming to compete for big prizes. It also holds a round of the IXS downhill cup. The Champery world cup track hosted the world championships in 2011 with Great Britain's Danny Hart storming to victory. Les Gets hosted the French nationals in 2012 too.

Morzine has had the Tour de France come through on numerous occasions, has an annual  4x4 contest and also hosts the fairly bizarre Harley Davidson festival every few years.
